About

An open index of federal procurement

Canadian federal tender notices are public information, published under an open licence. Yet the easiest places to search them are commercial portals that charge for access, bundle in bid-writing services, or require an account before showing you a single deadline.

TenderComps indexes the same public record and makes it answer-first: one page per tender, department, category and vendor, each readable without logging in, each written so you can tell in ten seconds whether the opportunity is worth your afternoon.

Who runs this

TenderComps is an Arm's Length Co. project, built by a CPA who wants procurement data to be easier to find and use.

Who it's for

  • Small and mid-size firms deciding whether federal work is worth pursuing.
  • Accounting, audit and advisory practices watching for finance-related contracts.
  • Journalists, researchers and taxpayers tracing where money goes.

What this site is not

  • Not MERX, not Biddingo, and not affiliated with either.
  • Not a bidding platform. Bids are always submitted on CanadaBuys.
  • Not a proposal-writing or consulting service, and not a lead-selling business.
  • Not the official record. Where TenderComps and CanadaBuys disagree, CanadaBuys is correct.
